Things to Do in Jasper
Our Top Picks

We spend every season on the rivers of Jasper National Park. Along the way, we've discovered the experiences that make a Jasper trip truly unforgettable — and we love sharing them. These are the places and adventures our guides recommend to every visitor.

Our Favourite Jasper Experiences

Jasper National Park is one of the most spectacular places on Earth — and a raft trip is just the beginning. Whether you're planning a summer adventure or a winter escape, these are the partners and experiences we trust and genuinely love.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Marmot Basin

20 km south of Jasper, AB — Jasper National Park

The northernmost major ski area in the Canadian Rockies — and one of the best. Marmot Basin sits entirely within Jasper National Park, giving you 1,720 acres of terrain across four mountain faces with runs for every skill level. Kids 12 and under ski free Monday–Friday, and the season runs from mid-November through early May — the longest in Canada. When the rivers freeze, the mountains are calling.

Our take: Spend a winter weekend skiing Marmot, then come back in summer and run the same mountains' meltwater with us. There's no better way to see Jasper National Park in two completely different seasons.

River Adventures

Canmore River Adventures

Canmore, AB — Bow Valley

With over 25 years of experience on the water, Canmore River Adventures is one of the most trusted outfitters in the Bow Valley. They offer whitewater rafting, backcountry skills training, and team-building programs — all with their signature "challenge by choice" approach that puts safety and enjoyment first. If your Alberta adventure takes you south to Canmore and Banff, these are the people to call.

Our take: We share the same values — local expertise, safety-first guiding, and a genuine love for Alberta's rivers. Great people doing great work in a different part of the province.
